Visual Concepts will handpick the game's first mayors from the NBA2K community to serve a first term

Of course, another of the game's strengths, especially for nostalgic individuals as a host, is the possibility of using ancient teams and players for real or imagined skirmishes involving teams of NBA MT Coins yesteryear or facing present teams for spectacular dream duels. Additionally, teams in the professional women's league are integrated to add new possibilities. And you can add The City, an expanded online hub world, to the listing of next-generation specific capabilities.

The City assembles on The Neighborhood gameplay mode that has been a hallmark of the franchise over the past few years. Series developer Visual Concepts is producing what essentially sounds like an MMORPG. When you first visit The City, you'll begin in"Rookieville." It is exactly what it sounds like: a tutorial area where you'll need to complete several tasks before the rest of the internet world opens to you. Once you're out of Rookieville, you'll pick among four Affiliations to combine: North, South, East and West. Every faction calls another borough of The City their house and has its own mayor.

Visual Concepts will handpick the game's first mayors from the NBA2K community to serve a first term. Afterward, every Affiliation will vote for their agent via an in-game survey -- in case you haven't had your fill of elections in the last week. Each term lasts six weeks, and as a mayor, you'll have the power to define your faction's visual identity. Visual Concepts allows mayors to customize their Affiliation's uniforms, courtroom layouts and more.

As you explore the hub, you will discover basketball hoops connected to the side of a few buildings. Here you'll have the ability to challenge other players to games of HORSE and half-court games that contain up to six players total. Along the way, you will also stumble upon NPCs who will provide you quests to complete. Like their counterparts in almost every other MMO, they will have an exclamation mark above their heads to allow you to know they have an assignment that you complete. Obviously, there are also in-game shops throughout the world where you are able to customize your character's appearance. You will Have the Ability to check out The City after NBA 2K21 comes out on Xbox Series X and Series S on November 10th and PlayStation 5 on November 12th.
