WoW Classic release has driven subscription numbers to their biggest quarterly increase in history

World of Warcraft classic has been a huge success for Activision Blizzard, the company revealed today that the retro release subscription figures have prompted the largest quarterly increase in history. Classical came out on August 26, World of Warcraft players pay for the same subscription to have access to a regular game and the classic, which runs the server based on how WoW before launching any expansion. Many players, it seems, want that old-school experience of WoW. We do not, however, know the exact subscription number, such as Activision Blizzard have not been given that the statistics come out over the years.

Classic WoW subscriptions drove quite handily, and many customers who stuck around to keep playing classical or retail. While we do not have the right amount, they made sure to tell us that it was the biggest quarterly gain they had ever seen. Well, more accurately, they made sure to tell their investors - so if you happen to be one of them, then congratulations.
