JACOB & CO. ASTRONOMIA RÉGULATEUR Bi-Axis Flying Tourbillon

JACOB & CO. ASTRONOMIA RÉGULATEUR Bi-Axis Flying Tourbillon

Time doesn't just flow; it also comes with a new concept of regulators. Years in the making, its 552-part movement enhances the presentation skills and accuracy of the mechanism. This vertical new structure spins at a speed of one minute and carries three arms, a first in the world. Jacob & Co. Bugatti Chiron replica

The latest version from Jacob & Co. is a breakthrough improvement to the regulator. Jacob & Co. is taking a watchmaking classic and reinventing it with one of its signature innovations. Its movement uses a floating 3D architecture. It spins a full circle in 60 seconds, providing near-miraculous results. This 43mm rose gold timepiece has independent displays for hours, minutes and seconds, and features unprecedented high-level watchmaking craftsmanship.

The vertical rotation movement makes a full circle in one minute, a world first. The circular seconds dial rotates counterclockwise in 60-second increments. Its flying tourbillon rotates on two axes, both for one minute. The constant force device balances the energy flowing out of the barrel for perfectly smooth and fast operation.

The 43mm case features a large piece of sapphire glass, providing the widest possible view of the domed translucent blue subdials. With its classic font and golden hands, it completes its tribute to high-precision watchmaking. Combining one of the most classic complications with its iconic Astronomia architecture, Jacob & Co. Best watches for men revolutionizes the regulator display and adds “impossible-inspired” horological performance.

One of the ways Jacob & Co. is “inspired by the impossible” is its ability to reinvent classics. Astronomia Régulateur is one such reinvention, on a scale rarely seen. The governor features hours, minutes and seconds displayed in three different positions on the dial. Historically, it was also a very accurate clock, used by other watchmakers to regulate their work. Astromia Régulateur takes these classic definitions and brings them into a new dimension, the Jacob & Co. way.

The Caliber JCAM56 is the slimmest Astronomia-type movement Jacob & Co. has ever designed, which is an achievement given its vertical nature. It has a total of 552 components, which is well above the average for fine watchmaking movements.

The rose gold case is 43 mm in diameter and 18 mm thick, with proportions that fit perfectly on the wrist. It's just a frame holding two large pieces of clear sapphire. One is the domed crystal. The other is a ring that takes up the entire case. To be lighter on the eyes, the Astronomia Régulateur is equipped with skeletonized lugs. Together they provide the broadest possible perspective on the movement. high quality watches replica

Extremely accurate and highly readable regulators date back to the early days of industrial watchmaking. The first manufacturing workshops gathered dozens or even hundreds of workers in the same space. They needed a single reference time to regulate their work, hence the term "regulateur". Each workshop has at least one state-of-the-art large mother clock, which can clearly read the time from several meters away. To optimize time reading, each of their three indications is divided into different positions on the dial. Hours and minutes are displayed by subdials. The most important display – the seconds hand – remains centrally located, and the hands are the most visible.

Over time, regulators were adapted into pocket watch and wristwatch forms. They set aside accuracy concerns and focused on the layout they are now famous for. In the Astronomia Régulateur, Jacob & Co. decided to combine the mechanical achievement represented by the regulator with independent displays of hours, minutes and seconds: they have become three-dimensional.

The Astronomia Régulateur benefits from Jacob & Co.’s many years of experience in rotating, vertical, tourbillon movements. In 2016, the Astronomia Tourbillon unveiled its revolutionary foundation: its movement was designed like a carousel in which several satellites rotated on their own around a central axis. Each arm carries a complication, one of which is the suspended flying multi-axis tourbillon.replica watches for sale

Its rotation speed was originally set at 20 minutes, but the idea was always to speed it up to improve the performance and accuracy of the movement. In 2023, Jacob & Co. released the Astronomia Revolution, which spins at 1 revolution per minute, an acceleration years in the making.

The Astronomia Régulateur is equipped with the JCAM56 movement, a completely new construction based on the Astronomia Revolution experience. It has a rotation speed of 60 seconds and carries three arms. One of them is the flying tourbillon, which makes one revolution every minute. As part of the vertical platform, it has a second axis of rotation, also within a minute. Therefore, it is a biaxial flying tourbillon.

The other two arms are dedicated to the time display. A small dial displays the minutes, identifiable by printed indications on fine scales. Another tells us the time. Both are made from a blue, translucent, lightweight material. Since these subdials are attached to the platform, they also rotate within a minute. If left alone, they are difficult to read most of the time. Like all Astronomia, the Régulateur uses a differential system to prevent this from happening. This mechanical system rotates the dials at exactly the same speed in the opposite direction of the movement, keeping them upright at all times. The Astronomia Régulateur has two differentials, one for each subdial. luxury watches replica

The third indication of the Astronomia Régulateur is its most special. The second is always the most important piece of information for the adjuster, because the work of watchmakers and workers revolves around it. The Astronomia Régulateur’s seconds indicator is its most unique feature. From the base of the vertical movement, a slender, elegant golden hand extends. It points to a large, domed, blue translucent ring: the seconds scale. The ring rotates counterclockwise every 60 seconds, providing a clear and unrivaled display of seconds.

One minute per 360 degree rotation is a very high speed when you consider an object in motion. It's not just a hand, but more than half of the 552-part movement. This weight requires a lot of energy to flow through very subtle movements. In order to regulate this huge flow, Jacobs & Co. got creative and researched how to control it and added a patented, ground-breaking constant force device in the gear train near the tourbillon.

Constant force was originally used to balance the energy received by the balance wheel, making it more accurate. The Astronomia Régulateur makes double use of this patented and very special device. It not only provides constant and stable energy for the watch, but also helps the watch move more accurately. This is a direct reference to the regulator’s original mission. It also smoothes the energy reaching the tourbillon while giving the JCAM56 movement incredible speed. This is how the miracle of the Astronomia Régulateur happened: a very complex piece of horological engineering that became invisible. It all embodies what Jacob & Co. is known for: exciting, unique design, watchmaking performance and superior craftsmanship. Bell & Ross BR 05 CHRONO GREY STEEL & GOLD
