This will stop the years of 2012 when Jagex refused to take RS gold the time to listen to players. EOC is something I strongly support. It is incredible how games and technology continue to improve. Think back to 13 years ago, the launch of runescape. Consider the technological advancements that have occurred in the last 13 years.

Consider how many Runescape players (myself included) have left to play other MMORPGs that use a similar action bar system. Naturally, I'm talking about World of Warcraft. Although I am not suggesting that runescape should be more similar to WOW, in fact, the majority of moos use the EOC-style of HCI. Why is this the case for 99 percent of the moos?

It's been proven effective. Without updates such as this, the game would be dead not just from a gaming perspective however from a business point of perspective. Jagex in the end is a company which has to pay its employees and pay taxes, and, most importantly, earn profits. They could be out of the game if they did not keep runescape at the same level as their competitors.

Technology makes it even more crucial to progress and change. While you could argue that humans have become the dominant species by changing their surroundings, that isn't the case.

I'm not sure what age you are, but think on the last 20 years that we, as technology users have had to change by using VCR to DVD to CD, and through the use of different interfacing devices (touchscreen is a huge one). Gaming falls under the umbrella of technology where adaptation is necessary. I am sure you'd prefer Runescape to keep up-to-date with its competition, and to survive many more decades - but with a backwards attitude "no major update cos we don't like them", runescape is going to slowly burn down.

EoC isn't the main problem. For me, it's more clicking for the same outcome, and the highlight is being able to store emotes in a queue. WoW, I use 80 keys. Although I am a fan of the idea of mind control, I still enjoy the concept of controlling my enemies on the cliffs' edges.
