Usually, within your ear is protected against water, both by the ear's shape, and along with a lining of "good" bacteria that thwarts infection. But, when moisture gets held in your ear canal, may possibly dilute the lining of good bacteria, you'll find nothing to stop bad fungi and bacteria from enhancing. And this can lead to swimmer's ear.
